Jesus is coming back and man, is he ticked!

by Sheila Walsh on 09/06/2009 04:09

Jesus is coming back and man, is he ticked!

This morning in church our associate pastor asked us a question. 'If you were able to sit with Jesus, face to face, knees touching knees, what do you think he would say to you?" Interesting question. He offered a few suggestions of what some of us might be thinking. "I'm sure he's mad at me." "He'd ask me when I'm going to get my act together?"

Of course, he reminded us that Christ's heart toward us is full of love and grace which is not based on our performance. But long after church I can't get the question out of my mind. It might be because I am starting to plan out my next book and the heart of the message is bring all of who you are to Christ. Bring the good girl and the bad girl who live within you, bring the honorable man and the cheat, bring your shadows and your light. Don't you think it would be sad to live our whole lives as believers and miss the point-that as we are right now with what we love and what we hate about ourselves, we are loved by God?

So, I think if I sat down right now with Jesus, face to face, knees touching knees he would say to me, "I love you so much. I never stop thinking about you." I believe that's what he'd say to you too.

Be still and know that I am God. Confess your sins to me and receive my forgiveness. I know life is hard right now but I am in control.

I would cry,He would hug me and say you have never been the same since you became a rape victum and I would cry some more.

Sheila, I so love to read your blog...but if you could make the font a little bigger....it would be GREAT! :)

Wow, that's just what I needed to hear.
Comment by Anonymous on 10/06/2009 10:51
I think He would tell me to lay down my burdens and find rest in HIM.

well he's coming as judge

Irene, why can't you commit fully as you once did?
Comment by Anonymous on 09/18/2009 10:23
Shelia, I think He would say to you, "I am so proud of you and now, by Beloved Faithful Daughter and Princes, enter into the joys of my kingdom where everyone loves unconditionally.

Yes, I am usually afraid that Jesus is mad at me and think he would be angry that I have not gotten my act together. Part of me knows He understands my struggles, but I feel that is no excuse and I am in big trouble for not serving Him enough.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/15/2009 01:09
Yes, he'd say that he loved me. But he may also voice his disappointment in me for failing to trust him in all things, or not trusting myself when I know I have the mind of Christ, and for failing to give thanks to him for all things. He'd finish with affirming his love for me.

I have given you so many chances and you keep messing up, now what?
Comment by Anonymous on 09/14/2009 07:11
I think he would remind me that my thoughts are higher than your thoughts and my ways are higher than your ways. So, remember that I love you and am in control of your son's life, I love him and will draw him back to me. Thank you Jesus!

I can't believe that Jesus would ever be ticked at me/us. It is a event that i do look forward to though!

I think He would say to me, "why haven't you understood that I love you just as you are? Why have you allowed your shame to keep yourslf from me? You are my child, I have always been with you.a dn always will be."

I guess the atheists wouldn't care (since they don't believe HE exists) and the unsaved are so busy running life their way they hope he has enough mercy and grace to overlook the fine print. How sad that we cling to the illusion of control, when all it takes is one tragedy or disaster to devastate our life. I think the more self-centered and indulgent we are the more God sends adversity trying to get our attention. He must really love us a lot to keep knocking!

Thanx....I needed that!!

I think if I were sitting knee-to-knee with Jesus ... looking Him in the eye ... the first thing He would say to me would be, "Did you see Me?"

There are so many times in a day that I know that Jesus joins me in my day. He's there when I wake up and I talk to him about how I need his touch to get to the day. I thank him for his provision with getting me onto the thruway without mishap. With morning traffic crazies, I know it's his protection that gets me to my office safely.

But as the day gets longer, I tend to forget him; I tend to think of myself as being my own provider.

And I tend to forget the universe is not circling me. It isn't just that he is a wonderful provider; it's that he is wonderful... period! It's about him, not me. How sad he must get when I forget that.

He's a loving god ... with or without me. I think he'd ask, "Did you see me?"

That is what brings comfort to me, that indeed He loves me just as I am.

I am sure He would be filled with compassion for my struggles because He is love. He might say, "Cast your cares on me, for I love you."

Many New Testament citizens kept Matthew or Levi at at arms length because he was a tax collector. He actually got paid by being dishonest in his financial dealings. However, God the Father, loved Matthew enough to make him a special friend, or disciple of His son.

I think he would say he never stopped loving me despite my sins.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/09/2009 12:36
I am sure he would ask why i ingnore him and don't trust him enough.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 11:58
I don't think he is ticked. I think that he is sad that we forget about him in all times not just in times of need. Some time ago I wrote a song I called Cry a Million Tears. I think that He is sad but he still loves us. I hope that we as man kind have not broke His heart.

Wow! What a visual! I think He might say, "Do you know how much I love u?"
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 09:50
I wonder what "I" would really say to HIM? I'm sorry Lord I didn't spend more time on what really matters. I'm sorry I worried Lord about things that didn't really matter ... I'm sorry Lord ...
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 09:16
I might say: "Come on down!". It's time for you to come and get this place straightened out. I love you, Jesus! AMEN

Funny for the past 2 months, as I sit by the Atlantic Ocean, I actually feel the Lord's fury...He reminds me constantly lately that we are drawing near to His return and He truly is ticked at us...as a nation as a church...as His child...I pray constantly for His direction and His plan....Blessings...JB

I know that Jesus loves me no matter what, and because he loves me, he will forgive me when I ask.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 05:42
What if he never said a word?
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 05:30
yes i agree. Look at the way our life is going? And the way the world is treating God and his word? Taking prayer and scripture away. Even our Government is no longer one nation under God!
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 03:52
I believe Jesus would say, I love you and never give up believing in me and my word.

Everyday I need to be reminded of the love of Jesus because this life is so hard; and the world beats you down constantly. However I have Jesus as my Lord; Savior; Friend, Oh what a friend he is!

Jesus is coming back soon!,however so many take this statement lightly.A lot of people think just like the devil want them to think and that is he keep on saying I have enough time. This is a message that should be preach to everyone and every where.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 11:59
He is the only one who makes me feel that way now or ever.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 11:14
Yep... He's say, "I Love You"... but His love is different from ours. It feels different, it looks different..it is not of this world. When Jesus says, "I Love You".... you don't hear it.... You Feel it.

I want for faith not to falter, but sometimes, I feel that I don't knot what to belive. I sometimes belive that because of my past doubts, my unstable thinking, it is too late for me. But I don't know how to get back on tact. I just wish I could be stronger.I have belive and felt in the past God has answered my prayers. I wish I could go back to the person I use to be. Thank you Rose S.

So cool! Thanks for the reminder!
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 10:48
I think He would add, "Why do you always worry and micromanage life? Don't you know I have you covered?"
Comment by Anonymous on 09/08/2009 10:44
You don't have to just 'think' what He'd say to you-

Ask Him. He has a voice & He will answer when you ask Him.

"What do you think of me?" Have your journal ready & write

down His response. It will feed your spirit, correct your

perspective, & give you LIFE, HOPE, PEACE & JOY. You'll

hear TRUTH that sets you free from lies. And you don't have

to be satisfied with just 'thinking' what He 'might' say.

You'll KNOW what He IS saying !

Be Blessed...

Thank you Sheila-what a message of hope!

THE FIRST THING THAT CAME TO MY MIND WAS COMPASSION. JESUS MAKES ME FEEL UNDERSTOOD BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE HURTS BECAUSE HE WOULD LIKE TO SEE US LOVE OURSELVES AND LOVE OTHERS A HE LOVES US.
Comment by Anonymous on 09/06/2009 09:05
I think He would say: "U worry so much about your past....child, your past is forgiven. your present is forgiven. your future is sealed and assured."
Comment by Anonymous on 09/06/2009 06:16
I agree with you with your final comment, that he love loves us so much!
Comment by Anonymous on 09/06/2009 05:52
Sheila you are so very right! Jesus loves us so much that while he was on the cross he prayed for the Father to forgive us. Such love and compassion I have never known! Thank you Jesus!

Bringing tears to my eyes...this is what Truth does to me. Destroys my insane, faulty thoughts of God's thoughts towards me. Thank you for sharing this.

This is thought provoking and I can't wait to read your next book!
