Dear Friends,

I'm not sure how long it's been since my last newsletter-so that tells me it's way too long. Summer is such a busy time with travel and all of Christian's adventures.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Alaskan cruise. Christian's friend, Connor came with us, and I know that made the trip so fun for him. Two of the most wonderful highlights were dog sledding and salmon fishing-all good boy stuff.

The dog sledding trip is an amazing tour. We got off the ship in Juneau, Alaska's capital, and a helicopter took us up to the dog camp on one of the glaciers. We got some amazing photos that I will post on the web. Next, Barry, Christian, Connor went with Sandi Patty's husband, Don and son, Sam on the salmon fishing trip. They caught fifteen fish and when they threw them back into the water, huge bald eagles flew within three feet of the boat and took the fish back to their nests. Quite an amazing sight. The captain of the ship took some wonderful photos of the eagles with the fish in their talons, and I've posted those too at www.sheilawalsh.com.

I want to thank those of you who have faithfully prayed for my Mom. They removed the tumor from her bladder however it did prove to be cancer. But the doctor is confident that he was able to remove it all. They are not going to do any chemotherapy but will see her again in three months. I really want to thank you on Mom's behalf. She was so aware of the covering of prayer as she walked through this time.

This past weekend we were in Boston, one of my favorite cities in America. Just outside the city, in Peabody Massachusetts, is the home of CBD, Christian Book Distributors. On Friday morning, Marilyn, Nicole Johnson and I had the opportunity of spending the morning there. We toured their amazing facilities and then spoke to the staff. I was so impressed with everything I saw and highly recommend them as a resource for Christian books and other resources. You can find them at www.Christianbook.com.

This week I am meditating on those two verses from Proverbs 3:5-6:

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him,
and He shall direct your paths."

Trust is one of the greatest gifts that we can offer our Father. It says, no matter what I see, I believe that you are good and you are watching over me. I love this quote from Charles Spurgeon:

"When you have no helpers, see all your helpers in God.
When you have many helpers, see God in all your helpers.
When you have nothing but God, see all in God.
When you have everything, see God in everything.
Underall conditions, stay thy heart only on the Lord."

I pray that the peace of God, the love of Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit may be yours this week.

In His grip,

Sheila
